Chief Muyombe of Mafinga district has commended the Zambia Flying Doctor Service for rendering its medical services to the people of Muyombe.

Speaking when the medical team paid a courtesy call on him at his palace Chief Muyombe said his area and the district at large has a lot of people suffering from ailments that need specialised services such as the ones the ZFDS renders.

He said the Zambia flying Doctor Service gives hope to people especially those that need eye and dental service which can only be accessed in health facilities far from his Chiefdom.

Chief Muyombe said the medical teams presence will ensure people from places that border with Malawi access health services.He, however, hoped that the medical team could spend more days so that more people received medical care for their various aliments.

The Royal Establishment Chairman Osten Muwowo thanked the ZFDS, particularly for their eye services, which have and will  benefit the elderly people.

He further commended the Ministry of Health for allowing such services to be provided by ZFDS in their Chiefdom.
