Aircraft Maintenance
ZFDS is a Zambia Civil Aviation Authority Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) capable of performing:

  • Maintenance on Cessna Grand Caravan 208B and BN2-3 Islanders airframes up to Certificate of Airworthiness Renewal, defect rectifications, replacements, repairs, and modifications.
  • Maintenance on PT6A-114A and IO-540 Series engines up to Certificate of Airworthiness Renewal, defect rectification, replacements, repairs, and modifications.
  • Avionics (Bendix/King) inspection checks up to Certificate of Airworthiness Renewal, defect rectification, replacements, repairs, and modifications.
  • Annual compass swings or upon major aircraft component change/repair or engine change.

Communication Radios

ZFDS radio workshop is equipped to handle installations, repairs, and maintenance of High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) communication radio equipment and accessories throughout Zambia.

Solar Installation

ZFDS provides solar power installations, repairs, and maintenance for rural health centers and facilities off the ZESCO grid. They offer affordable solar power solutions for homes and facilities.

Aircraft Charters

ZFDS, an approved Air Operator Certificate holder, offers air charters to the public at favorable commercial rates throughout Zambia and the region. Its fleet includes two C208B Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft with a seating capacity of 12 passengers, capable of accessing remote bush airstrips licensed by the Zambia Civil Aviation Authority. They also offer cargo transportation for pharmaceuticals and other commodities.
