The Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS) is continuing its vital medical outreach, bringing essential healthcare services closer to rural populations.
Their latest efforts saw them at Machiya Health Post, located about 81 kilometers from Mpongwe Boma.
Mr. Peter Banda, the Clinic in charge at Machiya Health Post, expressed sincere appreciation for the consistent support the ZFDS provides to the community.
During their time at the Machiya camp yesterday, July 28, 2025, the ZFDS team attended to a total of about 333 patients.
A wide array of services was offered ranging from eye,dental,radiology.
Additionally, patients received obstetrics care as maternal health remains a priority for the Government of the Republic of Zambia and the ministry of health.
The ZFDS team is being lead by Dr. Mesha Shimumba.
Community members have voiced their gratitude for the much-needed healthcare brought directly to their doorstep.
As ZFDS universal health coverage for all remains our priority.
