The Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Standing Aviation Committee (SAC) Exercise Blue Lugwasho 2025 has transitioned into a Field Training Exercise where a fully-fledged Medical Outreach programme has been launched in selected districts of the Exercise Area by the SADC Air Forces in collaboration with the Zambia Army and Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS).
The Zambia Army 1 Brigade fully fledged Level One Mobile Medical Unit has been deployed in Maamba, Sinazongwe district and will offer pharmaceutical, radiology, dental and eye clinics to the residents of Siatwinda and Siasawa areas.
Meanwhile, the ZFDS has also commenced its Medical outreach activities across the districts of Sinazongwe, Mulobezi, Mwandi and Namwala.
Services being offered by ZFDS include Specialised Surgery, Eye and Dental clinics, among others.
The Medical Outreach is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of Exercise Blue Lugwasho 2025.
