The Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS) is proud to announce a significant achievement in our journey toward healthcare excellence.

On October 14, 2025, three ZFDS nurses sponsored by the Zambia Flying Doctor Service successfully graduated as Registered Operating Theater Nurses from the Ndola College of Nursing and Midwifery. The graduation Ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Health,Hon. Dr. Elijah J. Muchima MP, at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

This specialized training enhances our capacity to deliver high-quality surgical support across the Country .

In Congratulating the team during the Awards giving ceremony held on 13th October,2025 at the Ndola college of Nursing and Midwifery School , ZFDS Chief Executive Officer,Dr. George Ng’uni commended the nurses for their dedication,hard work and professionalism in ensuring the standards and core values of the Service are upheld. He indicated that in order to ensure the Service plays a role in employee skills development. The Service sponsored theater nurses and currently is sponsoring Doctors during their internship and also critical care nurse’s to enhance their skills . This milestone is a direct reflection of ZFDS's ongoing commitment to professional development and elevating standards in healthcare delivery.
