The Zambia Flying Doctor Service is proud to be part of this year’s Kwilimuna Traditional Ceremony of Her Royal Highness Chieftainess Malembeka VI Nawanda I of the Lamba-speaking people in Mpongwe District.

The ZFDS team has set up camp at the ceremony grounds, offering a range of health services, including dental, eye, laboratory and general medical screening services.

Earlier, the team, led by Team Lead Dr. Danny Musongole, paid a courtesy call on Her Royal Highness, reaffirming ZFDS’s commitment to bringing essential healthcare services closer to communities through its outreach programmes.

The Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary, Lawrence Mwanza, who was the Guest of Honour, also visited the ZFDS stand and commended the service for its continued improvement in delivering healthcare services to communities.

Mr. Mwanza further called for the continuous celebration and preservation of culture, emphasising the importance of traditional ceremonies in promoting and preserving Zambia’s rich cultural heritage.

Her Royal Highness Chieftainess Malembeka commended the Zambia Flying Doctor Service for its continued partnership in supporting the traditional ceremony and for providing essential health services to communities in the chiefdom through its various outreach programmes.
