In continued partnership with the Workers Compensation Fund Control Board, the Zambia Flying Doctor Service (ZFDS) today, 18th May 2026, successfully repatriated a beneficiary from the International Hospital of Lusaka back to Nakonde following specialized medical care and discharge after undergoing routine checkups.

The mission was conducted by Director Aviation Services Col. Lasford Manchisi and Co-Pilot Chanda Mumpangwe, with professional medical support from paramedics Susan Banda and Bwalya Chisanga, ensuring a safe and seamless transfer.

This successful mission highlights the growing impact of the collaboration between ZFDS and the Workers Compensation Fund Control Board in improving access to specialized healthcare services for Zambia’s workforce and ensuring beneficiaries receive quality care when it matters most.
